Professor Brian Kelberg '76 Honored with Ken Lamb Distinguished Achievement Award
Congratulations to Professor Brian Kelberg ’76 on receiving the Ken Lamb Distinguished Achievement Award! He was presented with the award and recognized at the 39th Annual Jemison Awards ceremony, hosted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
As announced in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office newsletter:
The Ken Lamb Distinguished Achievement Award is presented each year to a respected career prosecutor who consistently demonstrates high principles and standards, and a commitment to serving as an unwavering advocate for justice. The award recognizes the contributions of Ken Lamb, the award’s first recipient.
Professor Kelberg ’76, a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County, was selected for the Award in appreciation for his years of work as a prosecutor and for his vast legal knowledge and ability to deconstruct issues.
“I am honored to be this year's recipient of the Ken Lamb Distinguished Achievement Award, but believe the award reflects more on the opportunities the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office offers our young lawyers to develop their skills to become the very best lawyers they can be, while at all times, serving the public interest, protecting the rights of victims of crime, their families, and in all too often the case, their survivors, and recognizing that because we do not have a perfect system of justice, fulfilling our responsibility to correct miscarriages of justice whenever they occur.”
