Southwestern Student Receives California Bar Foundation Scholarship

Southwestern student Corinna Jiang was named the 2016 LimNexus Foundation Scholar through the California Bar Foundation’s 2016 Diversity Scholarship Program. Jiang is one of 34 students in California to be selected from a competitive pool of hundreds of applicants based on academic excellence, financial need, and commitment to the community. The scholars were honored at a reception in Los Angeles on September 22.

Since the Foundation launched the Diversity Scholarship Program in 2008, it has awarded more than $6 million to over 200 California law students. The program aims to bolster the pipeline of diverse individuals entering the legal profession. With awards of up to $7,500, the scholarships help alleviate the significant financial burden of attending law school and provide confidence-boosting recognition to law students during their crucial first year.
