Professor VanLandingham Speaks with CNN on President Trump's Recent Military Pardons
Professor Rachel E. VanLandingham was featured on CNN on November 18th, 2019, to share her expert insights on President Trump’s intervention in military war crimes cases.
Professor VanLandingham, a national security law expert and former judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force (USAF), said President Trump’s interference could undermine trust in the military justice system.
She says, “It demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how the U.S. military fights and it demonstrates a complete disregard and disrespect for the entire military chain of command. President Trump is challenging the credibility of his commanders…”
