Tracy Tsui has over 30 years of experience cataloging legal materials in library systems and resource discovery. She has worked with paper card catalogs, today’s sophisticated online catalogs, and everything in between. In 1997, while Head Catalog Librarian, Tracy set up Cataloging-In-Publication (CIP) Procedures to accelerate how new materials added to the Collection are processed. This expedited the availability of new materials and minimized the workflow’s paper trail. In 2005, Tracy was appointed to the position of Systems Librarian, where she manages the Library’s online catalog and maintains and improves access to the Library’s electronic subscriptions. Tracy is often the liaison between the Library and Southwestern’s IT department. She has supervised and assisted in the migration of the catalog system to new and better technologies multiple times during her time at Southwestern.
When not working to keep the Library’s systems running smoothly, Tracy loves to travel and enjoys having afternoon tea and dim sum with family and friends.
