Southwestern Law School has convened leading thought leaders and practitioners in the entertainment and media law space on its campus for the 21st Annual Entertainment and Media Law Conference, scheduled for March 21, 2024. The conference is a partnership with the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC), an organization at the forefront of advancing First Amendment and media rights.
The conference features a series of panels addressing current challenges and innovations in the field, including discussions on the impact of generative AI on content creation, the nuances of copyright infringement in the film and TV industries, and the critical examination of First Amendment rights in journalism. Panelists include Vince Chieffo from Greenberg Traurig, Ben Sheffner of the MPA, Kelli Sager from Davis Wright Tremaine, Aimée Wolfson from Sony Pictures Entertainment, and numerous other industry experts.
Participants have the opportunity to earn up to 4.25 MCLE credits through their attendance at the day’s panels and breakout sessions.
The conference will conclude with a catered reception, providing attendees with the chance for personal interaction with prominent figures in the field.
Southwestern Law School's campus serves as an ideal venue for the conference, given the institution's status as one of the nation's premier entertainment law schools. Southwestern is recognized as a top institution for entertainment law by The Hollywood Reporter and has graduated many of the most influential attorneys in the field.
