Southwestern Law School will host its 35th Annual Alumni Awards Gala on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. As the institution’s premier annual alumni event, the Gala brings together legal professionals from across Southern California for an evening dedicated to celebrating achievement, strengthening community, and honoring distinguished members of the Southwestern alumni network. 

This year’s Gala will recognize an exceptional group of honorees whose accomplishments reflect both professional excellence and a deep commitment to the legal field.  

• Brian Panish ’84 of Panish, Shea, Ravipudi LLP will be honored as Outstanding Alumnus of the Year 

• the Honorable Timothy M. Weiner ’00 will be recognized as Outstanding Judicial Officer 

• Feinberg Mindel Brandt & Klein LLP (FMBK) will receive the Outstanding Firm award 

• The California chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates (CAL-ABOTA) will be honored as Outstanding Friend of Southwestern 

In addition to celebrating honorees, the Gala plays a vital role in supporting Southwestern students. Net proceeds from the evening will benefit the Debbie Leathers Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to qualified students.  

The event is open to all Southwestern alumni and members of the Southwestern community. It will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center, located at 2701 N. Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles. Complimentary parking will be available for guests.
