Prospective Student Events. Our upcoming events for prospective students appear below and are open to applicants, admitted students, and any others who wish to learn more about law school. To register for an event, click on the RSVP link corresponding to the event you plan to attend. Prospective student events are added and updated on an ongoing basis. Check back regularly. Events are subject to change.

Southwestern Law School's Admissions Office hosts a number of informative and interactive events for prospective students. We also participate in many other events hosted by law school consortia, LSAC, undergraduate schools, and other organizations. See below for individual event listings and check back regularly -- new events are added on an ongoing basis!
Virtual² Law School Fair (hosted by Mitchell Hamline School of Law)

You’re invited to register for the second annual Virtual Law School Fair, which features 13 law schools and a variety of fully-online and hybrid J.D. programs. By attending this event, you’ll receive an introduction to distance education in law school, hear details from each participating law school about their distance education programs, review a comparison chart to help distinguish among the various options available, and have opportunities to join breakout meetings with law school representatives.
Online J.D. Information Session
Thursday, January 22, 2026 | 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. PT via Zoom
In this one-hour session, program leaders will provide an overview of online J.D. program options. Attendees will learn about the online learning experience, key program features, and have the opportunity to ask questions about academic and professional opportunities.
Is the Two-Year Path Right for You? A Deeper Look at the Life of a SCALE (Two-Year J.D. Program) Student

Join us for an interactive Zoom session for an inside look at what it's really like to be a student in our two-year SCALE program. We'll be covering the curriculum, weekly schedule, and learning structure. Current students share their day-to-day academic experience and study strategies, followed by a guided self-assessment to help prospective students determine if the SCALE program is the right fit.

Discover how our mission and values are designed to prioritize your success through a combination of hands-on training, challenging academics, and a dynamic, supportive community. The program features a presentation from three deans, a mock law school class with the Director of our Moot Court Honors Program, and a student experience panel where students and alumni will discuss the opportunities they embraced at Southwestern. In-person attendees will also have the chance to tour our academic and residential facilities and enjoy lunch with Southwestern community members.
