4/7/20 - Summer 2020 Term To Begin Remotely

Body

Dear Southwestern Students,

I’m writing to let you know that, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties about how soon it will abate, we have decided that all classes in Southwestern’s Summer 2020 session will begin remotely via Zoom.  The course meeting dates and times remain unchanged as listed on the Southwestern website at https://www.swlaw.edu/curriculum/study-abroad-summer-session/summer-campus.

Depending on how things develop with the pandemic, it is possible that some summer courses will transition to in-person, on-campus meetings at some point during the summer.  It is equally possible, though, that all courses will be taught remotely for the entirety of the summer term.  We will, of course, keep you apprised of any decisions made in that regard.

Summer course offerings will appear on WebAdvisor on Friday, April 17, and students will be able to begin registering for summer courses via WebAdvisor on April 21 at 12:30 pm.  In the coming weeks, you will receive detailed information from the Southwestern Bookstore and Print Shop about how to order and receive books and printed materials for the summer term.   Course syllabi will also be posted on the Portal starting the first week of May. Closer to the beginning of the summer term, you will receive the Zoom meeting links for your class sessions and other relevant information from your summer professor(s).

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Hope you are staying healthy and safe.

All the best,

Vice Dean Dov
